Polypropylene (PP) belongs to the group of polyolefins and is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic.
PP has a higher strength, stiffness and hardness than polyethylene, for example, which can be extended with various fillers such as glass fibres or circles. It is resistant to most alkalis and acids, as well as almost all organic solvents and fats.

Due to its excellent skin compatibility, it is physiologically harmless and is therefore frequently used in the pharmaceutical, textile and food industries. Also in machine and vehicle construction, for example, insulating materials as well as some interior elements are made of PP.
