Without polypropylene, the automotive industry seems to have no impact. The average weight of each vehicle is about 60 kg. In terms of the number of applications in this sector, polypropylene is the most important plastic. The use of customized polypropylene compounds can reduce costs and weight. Thus, this plastic has made a valuable contribution to saving energy and improving the carbon dioxide balance. 
At the SKZ seminar "Polypropylene in Automotive Engineering" on September 21-22, 2021, in Würzburg, Germany, Dr. Jürgen Rohrmann of LyondellBasell will learn about the current status and future of this material in automotive engineering Perspectives. According to the organizers, technical discussions and mutual exchange in a pleasant atmosphere are an important part of the plan. The first day of the event ended with a food and wine tasting in the wine cellar of the Würzburg Residence District Court.
