interplastica 2021: Russian plastics trade fair is stopped by COVID 19 - The new date is from January 25 to 28, 2022

The trade fairs interplastica, International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, and upakovka, Trade Fair in Russia for Processing and Packaging were scheduled for 26-29 January 2021 at the AO Expocentre exhibition center in Krasnaya Presnya in Moscow.
Due to the current situation, however, they will be cancelled and will not take place until their next regular date, January 25-28, 2022.
This is a reaction to the ongoing pandemic situation and the current tightening of quarantine regulations in Russia.

"The decision was taken by the fair in Düsseldorf in close cooperation with the fair in Moscow," said Erhard Wienkamp, Managing Director of the fair in Düsseldorf. He emphasizes: "Moscow has taken stricter measures to contain the corona pandemic due to a drastic increase in the number of infections. Cultural, educational and other events are prohibited until mid-January. Nobody can say at the moment what will happen immediately afterwards". This announcement is intended to enable the participants of the interplastica and upakovka to react in time, reschedule and concentrate on the event date in January 2022.

For the Russian plastics and rubber industry, interplastica is considered the most important business platform.  It offers a representative overview of raw materials, equipment and machinery, such as plastics recycling and plastics processing plants, measuring and control technology, welding machines, raw materials and supplies as well as plastic and rubber products. Above all, representatives of the chemical, plastics and mechanical engineering industries are addressed by the interplastica.

The upakovka, which is a member of the interpack alliance, tries to reach the following target groups with its offerings for the packaging and related process industries: pharmaceuticals, beverages, confectionery and bakery products, foodstuffs, cosmetics, non-food and industrial goods.
